Export of references formatted as CSV (Comma Separated Value) text

A selection of reference data sets resulting from a search operation can be exported into a Comma-Separated-Value (CSV) file by ETH E-Citations' export function. The file is compatible with MS Excel's CSV format and can be directly imported there.

1.

Search all reference entries to export by ETH E-Citations' search function.

2.

In the "Export" menu of the search results page, select the entry "CVS".

It is useful to define the format of all cells as "Text" or "Standard" in order to avoid an accidental automatic re-formatting of data values in Excel. To do so, select all cells by typing Ctrl A on the keyboard and thereafter Ctrl 1. MS Excel's format dialog is opened in which the cell format can be set to either "Text" or "Standard".
